Granger-Hunter will be conducting routine flushing of water mains in your neighborhood throughout April. This essential maintenance practice helps ensure the integrity of our piping system and maintains high-quality water delivery to our customers. We will at least have one crew in each area of the map on most nights.
When: Thursday and Friday 8 P.M. to 12:00 A.M. throughout April.
What to Expect:
- Our crews will be in your neighborhood, moving from hydrant to hydrant.
- Fire hydrants will be opened to create high flows, cleaning the inside of water mains.
- While this process may use a fair amount of water, it is necessary for maintaining water quality.
What You Should Do:
- Avoid using water during the flushing period.
- After flushing, you may notice temporary discoloration of your water, which is normal and not harmful.
- If you experience discolored water, fully open cold-water faucets in your kitchen and bathroom for about a minute to flush out any sediment.
If you have any questions or experience prolonged service or water quality issues, please contact Water Quality.
